# Changelog archive — August 2026

Every AI agent release we logged in August 2026: 12 daily entries across the platforms we track, each linked to its full write-up. The [main changelog](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/) shows the latest releases; this page lists the whole month.

- [2026-08-22](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-22/) — OpenAI's flagship drops to $4/$20, and the Python SDK breaks on purpose
GPT-5.6 Sol is 20% cheaper on input and 33% cheaper on output, landing on the exact price of the GPT-5.5 it supersedes. Anthropic's Python SDK v1.0 swaps httpx for httpx2 and drops long-deprecated surface.
- [2026-08-21](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-21/) — four betas went GA in one day, and a browser tool arrived
Computer use, Files, Agent Skills, and Enterprise user management all left beta in one Claude API window, alongside a new browser use tool. IronClaw 1.3.0 goes stable with the notes its prereleases withheld.
- [2026-08-19](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-19/) — a Shift+Tab in the permission prompt was granting session-wide edit permission
Claude Code v2.1.235 fixes a keystroke that approved an edit and granted a standing permission instead of closing a comment field. NemoClaw's rebuild now verifies the config hash it claimed to restore.
- [2026-08-18](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-18/) — Claude Code reverts two permission changes it shipped last week
v2.1.233 walks back the Cygwin-symlink and input-redirection permission checks from v2.1.232. NemoClaw closes an unauthenticated adapter health endpoint that leaked credential hashes to the LAN.
- [2026-08-14](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-14/) — Claude Code closes three permission bypasses, and IronClaw deletes its channel allowlists
v2.1.232 is a security release wearing a feature release's clothes: three permission bypasses, a credential-inheritance fix, and a sandbox hardening pass. IronClaw 1.2.0 removes channel allowlists entirely.
- [2026-08-13](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-13/) — your local Claude Code transcripts are now retrievable by your org
Anthropic's Compliance API now returns transcripts of Claude Code and Cowork sessions running on your own machine. Plus Claude Code's largest release in a week, and a NemoClaw lock that stranded sandboxes.
- [2026-08-11](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-11/) — NemoClaw stops echoing credentials in an MCP error, Kilo Code 7.4.21 fills out Agent Manager
A malformed MCP URL printed its own embedded password. A rebuild destroyed the sandbox and then refused to recreate it. Both fixed today, both worth checking your logs for.
- [2026-08-10](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-10/) — Claude Code self-hosted runners and cross-session messaging, IronClaw 1.1.0 goes stable
Four Claude Code releases in three days, including a Bash permission bypass fix and agent-to-agent messaging across machines. IronClaw's post-rewrite line finally reaches stable.
- [2026-08-05](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-05/) — Claude Code v2.1.222 closes a worktree-isolation escape, IronClaw 1.1.0-rc.1
Claude Code v2.1.222 fixes worktree-isolated sessions running destructive git against the main checkout, and PreToolUse auto-allow hooks bypassing tool restrictions in background tasks. IronClaw's first RC since 1.0.0 opens up custom MCP servers and Slack slash commands.
- [2026-08-04](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-04/) — Hermes v0.20.0 "Herald", Claude Code patches a zsh permission bypass
Hermes v0.20.0 lands voice, A2A v1.0, signed webhooks and a desktop plugin SDK — and requires Node 26. Claude Code v2.1.221 closes a Bash permission-check bypass. Kilo Code, NemoClaw and the Claude API all moved too.
- [2026-08-03](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-03/) — NemoClaw fixes a snapshot decoder crash, stages a Docker-free runtime
One real fix: NemoClaw's snapshot Base64 validator no longer overflows the stack on maximum-size payloads. One signal worth reading: five dormant commits define a provider-neutral runtime boundary — the groundwork for running NemoClaw on something other than Docker.
- [2026-08-02](https://openclawdatabase.com/changelog/2026-08-02/) — GPT-5.6 Luna 80% cheaper, Hermes v0.19.1, Kilo Code v7.4.18
OpenAI dropped GPT-5.6 Luna 80% and Terra 20%, and swapped Priority Processing for Fast mode (2.5x speed, 2x price). Hermes tagged v0.19.1 as a rollup. Kilo Code v7.4.18 brings diff-review scopes and per-command skill approvals. NemoClaw's migration backups now fail closed instead of retaining raw config.
