# Grok Bot FAQ

## Does Grok Bot keep working when my laptop is closed?

Yes. Work runs on the cloud computer, so closing the app, the laptop or your phone doesn't stop a background turn or a routine.

## Do my Bots share one computer?

Yes. Every Bot on an account uses one persistent cloud computer and shares its files, browser sessions and logins. Don't use separate Bots as a security boundary.

## Can several Bots work at once?

Yes. They can reason, use connectors and coordinate in parallel, but each Bot runs one computer-use (browser) task at a time on its own screen.

## What does a Bot remember?

Stable preferences, role context, and summaries of past work. Conversations and roles stay separate per Bot. For important decisions, ask it to check the current source rather than rely on memory.

## Can Grok Bot use any website?

Many, but sites may block automation, require a new login, show a CAPTCHA, or need human confirmation. Use a connector where one exists.

## Where does my data live?

Grok Bot computers run in the United States. Privacy Mode prevents training on your data and gives zero retention at model providers. Legacy Privacy Mode is not supported.

## Is it the same as Grok in the X app?
