Julian Goldie argues that the limiting factor for most agent setups is not the model but the system around it, and describes his "Agent OS" as three layers wrapped around Hermes: the brain (the agent plus swappable models, including free ones via a router), mission control (one dashboard for chat, voice, agent teams and a Kanban board), and memory (a plain-text Obsidian vault the agents read before working and write to afterwards). The argument for the memory layer — that a folder of markdown notes lets any new model inherit prior context instead of starting cold — is the substantive part of the video.

What this video does not include

No commands, configuration files, or reproducible setup steps are shown.
